Remodels to New Construction
Whether you are remodeling an entire house or one room, there will be many decisions to be made. I am here to help you complete the process successfully. I can provide you with working drawings for a kitchen or bathroom, at which point you may like to take over implementing the design. The next step would be help you select your materials. I am prepared to see the job through to completion, including scheduling contractors and sub-contractors, making regular site-visits during construction, and working to ensure the job is executed according to plan and your budget.

For me, the design process is one of assisting a client to create the space they want, not taking over and forcing my own ideas. Even for a designer, it is most challenging to plan one’s own space, since we are just too close to be able to see it objectively. My role as your interior designer is to filter ideas for your approval and base the finished rooms on your own desires. In this way, we work as a team and allow the plan for your home to evolve, making changes and adjustments until it all comes together in a way that makes you excited to see the process completed.

It is important to have an overall plan for your home before beginning any level of remodel or design. Iit is also vital to understand that plans are fluid. Changes may be made along the way as new ideas come to light. This is part of the design process, and is most helpful in ensuring that, by being flexible, we end up with the best possible results.
The combining of form and function in a way that best suits your lifestyle is my ultimate priority, incorporating your ideas with my experience and knowledge to come up with a plan that you will love. We will create spaces that flow naturally from one to the next, blend colors, styles, and textures in interesting and subtle ways, and ultimately produce a harmonious design that is yours alone.
I am especially interested in sustainable design possibilities. I believe that home design can be accomplished with minimal impact on the planet - without sacrificing comfort or beauty.
